In Mpumalanga's great Kruger National Park and adjoining private game reserves the Republic's finest wildlife - while the region provides the awesaome backdrop of Long Tom Pass, South Africa's highest road, and in the temperate southern lowveld, setting of Hazyview and White River, the voortrekkers halted their oxwagons to plant the farms and orchards where today grow coffee and citrus fruits, figs, cotton and pineapples.
