Sunset Travel Limited is currently looking to recruit a highly qualified Management and Systems’ person to manage the accounts and finance department of the company using our bespoke tour-operator system ‘Illusion on line’ and ‘Access Dimension’.
The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record within the travel and tour operating industry.
This position is offered to encompass the management, the cost and the financial accounting as well as the monitoring of the day to day operation. The successful candidate will report directly to the board of Directors.

Key duties:

1. Preparation of the Statutory year end accounts  by implementing cross data migration between Access Dimension and Illusion on line
2. Preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, the preparation for Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) and Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) reports  
3. Review and advise the Directors on the financial situation using historic, actual and forecasting on the overall company performance
4. Able to Configure ‘Illusions on line’ System for supplier costing and consumer pricing
5. Improving and developing Illusions and Access Dimension Systems further across the business to accommodate new business segments
6. Maintain records to meet legal and stringent tax obligations
7. Manage cash flow and investments including inter bank accounts UK and abroad using highly secure on line systems.
8. Managing and forecasting the company’s foreign currency exposure with a thorough knowledge of hedging
9. Overseeing the day to day accounting duties carried out by the accounts department and the personnel   

 Requirements:

1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, V-Look ups and Pivot Tables)
2. The successful candidate will need to have worked for a minimum of 3 years with ‘Illusions on line’ software as well as the working knowledge of the integration of Access Dimensions Accounting system
3. Degree holder in Finance or Accounting from a UK University and have achieved an ACCA Qualification or Part-Qualified
4. A minimum of 3 years Tour Operating experience
5. Applied Knowledge of hedging on foreign currencies using forward and option contracts
6. Familiar with the requirements of the Travel Industry’s regulators such as ABTA, CAA and IATA
7. Experience in BSP reconciliations, ADMs and ACMs

Benefits:
Salary £32-35k

Specialist Reservation Consultant

Sunset Faraway Holidays is a division within Sunset Travel Ltd is Luxury Travel Specialists with over 30 years experience in tailoring worldwide holidays. Sunset is a family owned and run business and we believe in investing in our staff.

The company receives enquiries via Travel agents (Sunset Faraway Holidays, www.sunset.co.uk).

We are looking to recruit 5 new knowledgeable consultants to our dynamic team of specialists.

The relevant candidates will have a 3 week training and induction course to learn about the companies’ bespoke product offering and systems training.

The relevant candidate should have the following:

• Will have experience in selling either of the following areas: Indian Ocean & Middle East, USA & Caribbean, Asia and North and South Africa
• Have a high level of customer care and willingness to exceed expectations
• Be highly motivated and extremely sales orientated, to meet both group and individual targets. Working as a team and is vital to achieve high sales growth as the higher individual targets is dependent on achieving an overall group sales target.
• To have previous experience in using a GDS and preferably an in house reservation system.
• To achieve the higher end of the salary scale, experience in tailor making holidays from contract and nett fares is compulsory.

Added Benefits & Perks:

• Excellent commission structure paid at the time of booking rather than when client travels. Hitting group target will earn a minimum £500 per month, exceeding this will earn you upto £1500 per month.
• To service our luxury client base we ensure our consultants experience the product, so be prepared to visit some of our exotic destinations.
• Double Time for working extra days not already rostered
  

Working Times:

Opening hours: Mon – Fri 9.30 to 8pm, Sat.9.30 to 4pm, Sun 11 to 4pm

Shifts: 9.30 to 6pm daily or 11.30 to 8pm,

5 day week with day off in midweek to work Sat, Sunday working as extra day but roistered.
